I love sewing and this has been one of my favorite projects. I found this tutorial on www.houseonhillroad.com. I instantly fell in love with it and had to make one for my daughter. I loved it so much I had to make two. The only thing that I changed on the second one was taking out some of the width on the skirt, I found it to be a little too full on my small waisted daughter.
This skirt I made later after the twirly skirt. I used the same basic idea, but didn't add a tie and put a ruffle on the bottom instead of a solid strip. I also didn't make it as full as the twirly skirt, mainly because I didn't have enough fabric. It's big enough that she will be able to wear it for a few years.
